At 11:50pm on the night of 9th November 2016 I booked a flight to Paris for the following day!

I’d been in two minds about whether I should go to DeFactory’s ImageNation Exhibition – it wasn’t going to be cheap but then would I ever have work on display in Paris again?

I couldn’t miss out.

I’d been chatting to Andre Gonçalves who was also exhibiting and who I knew online from him also being a curator for The Imaginarium… So, flights booked, I arranged to stay in the same hotel as Andre and his girlfriend Alexandrina.

We had a great time taking in the sights and sounds of Paris and shooting a few portraits – before we headed off to the exhibition that evening…

And what do you know?

… I have a sale! ???

Can’t actually believe someone wants a photo of me naked on their wall! ?

It was a weird feeling seeing my work in print and on display alongside some of the most incredible photographers… a sense of unbelievable pride coupled with a fair bit of insecurity and vulnerability.

I could of quite easily not made this work… there were numerous times I thought ‘what am I doing naked in a field?’, ‘what is someone going to say if they catch me doing this?!’… but I made it anyway because a) I’m incredibly impulsive and b) I’m a strong believer in facing your fears.

Time to enjoy some vin rouge!
