We didn’t have anything to eat in the house the other day so went and bought a breakfast roll.

I was eating it in the garden when I noticed that the sky was full of seagulls – they were circling a tractor that was ploughing a nearby field.

Armed with only my breakfast roll, camera and tripod I rushed to shoot a few frames – setting my focal point then placing the camera on a self-timer.

I love the warm tones of the countryside, the chocolate browns and painterly, green of the bokeh trees and the feeling of movement created by the gulls.

‘When the seagulls follow the breakfast roll… it is because they think crumbs will be thrown onto the field’
