Sea Swimming Blog #4

Day 32 Sea Swimming.

#4 of the blog.

I arranged to meet up with Jason and Will today - they were keen for St Aubin but once again, when we arrived, the sea was too wild - even for these seasoned warriors.

I took a quick photo of the waves crashing against the pier wall with the new camera before we headed to the sheltered bay of Belcroute where we were again greeted to a far more appealing swim site.

We swam out to the far buoy before I headed back in and grabbed the new camera and this time tested out a couple of shots in the water… it was still pretty choppy so the visibility was poor under the waves but it was nice to at least be closer to my subjects and get a sense of what it’s like surrounded by the ocean.

Whilst there is much to learn, I’ve found parallels with the sea, the cold and photography…
