Sea Swimming Blog #10

Day 45 Sea Swimming.

#10 of the blog.

Met up with the Bathing Beau & Bluebells for a 9am dip at St Aubin where a flat calm sea, blue sky and glorious sunshine awaited us.

Took a few photos both in and out of the water of the guys and girls and arranged for a meet up tomorrow for New Years day.

As 2020 draws to an end I’m looking forward to seeing what the New Year brings…

I’m so thankful that I started implementing changes in my life earlier on in the year rather than waiting until some imaginary milestone that the 1st Jan represents.

Sea swimming has become my new favourite pastime and is one that I’ll look to continue for many years to come - I hope I can manage to hit 365 consecutive days in 2021.

Also pretty chuffed that I managed to run 2 x 1/2 marathons in the last month.

If I can keep this up then the aim is to do the Jersey Marathon and Triathlon next year - if I manage to achieve either or both of those targets then I really have managed to turn things around after a heavy summer (and realistically many years) of drinking and smoking far too much.

Not only has the sea brought me closer to myself and to nature but I've met some really cool people and have rediscovered the joy of living and being.

we find our true direction”
