Sea Swimming Blog #18
Day 56 Sea Swimming.
#18 of the blog.
Massive poopy pants mentality today.
My little one was back at school.
My wife’s holiday period was over and she was now back working from home.
I had ‘nothing’ to do… no work and feeling like I had no purpose.
The tide wasn’t high until 5ish so had the whole day to sit and stew.
I did some invoicing and a little bit of work on another project but I had too much time to think and wallow in negative thoughts.
Due to the tide times I didn’t make it to Belcroute until 4ish… it was pretty grey but the sun was threatening to pop though the clouds… I swam out to the far buoy then back in to grab the underwater camera and try to snap some interesting pics (having been inspired by Beni talking about seeing an underwater world in the Salty Sea Pups WhatsApp group).
There was a bit too much movement to capture anything underwater cleanly, but I did shoot what I felt was beauty of a half/half photo around sunset time which had a magical feel to it… the flash from camera shimmered in the wave and split the light into a thousand sparkles of fairy dust.
I got out and changed and spoke to a cool surfer guy and French girl who had just made it around the rocks before the rising tide would have cut them off.
Turned out to be a decent time after all.
